FGC Announces New Executive Director

The Family Guidance Center Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that Jeffery J. Robbins, EdD, LSCW, LCADC, is the new Executive Director of the agency.  With locations in Hamilton, Trenton, Ewing and Princeton, Family Guidance Center is one of the premier social service agencies in Mercer County.  The organization provides outpatient mental health services, substance abuse treatment, debt management services, housing counseling, and special education programming for over 5,000 individuals annually. The Board’s action comes with the fullest confidence that Jeff will be an excellent steward of Family Guidance Center’s mission and a leader and advocate for its programs and services.

Marygrace Billek, Director of Mercer County Human Services, noted “Jeff offers us the stability and consistency that Mercer County has always relied upon from Family Guidance Center.  They have always been an organization that we look towards when we are exploring funding an innovative social service solution, and Jeff has always been part of that equation.  I look forward to our continued partnership with Family Guidance Center.”

Jeff has served the agency, its mission and our community since 1981 as a clinician and Program Director.  He is respected and appreciated by his fellow staff members as a committed, caring, and skilled leader. Jeff received his undergraduate degree in biologic sciences at Rutgers University, his Masters degree in social work at the Columbia University Graduate School of Social Work, and then completed his doctoral studies in Counseling Psychology at the Rutgers University Graduate School of Education.

Jeff says of his new position “I am looking forward to getting right to work, as I move into this new role, overseeing our tradition of providing high quality, accessible, and comprehensive services to our large and diverse consumer base.”
