Behavioral Healthcare Services: Medication Monitoring Services Explained

Medication Monitoring Services Explained

  • No medication will be prescribed without proper medical clearance (blood work, EKG, etc.)
  • All clients receiving medication services must also be receiving counseling/psychotherapy services (individual, couples, family, and/or group treatment.)
  • Medication monitoring and ongoing prescription writing require a minimum of one monthly contact with your treatment team unless the team specifically makes other arrangements.
  • monitoring visits are generally 15-20 minutes in length and punctuality is very important. Additionally, these visits are for medical and not for psychotherapeutic/counseling purposes.
  • Clients refusing or repeatedly canceling or failing to keep their individual and/or group counseling sessions will not be able to continue receiving prescription services.
  • Due to the huge demand for our services, cancelled and/or failed psychiatric evaluations and/or medication monitoring appointments can cause a significant delay for you regarding receiving additional medication services.
  • Repeated appointment attendance problems may result in termination of services and referral to other providers.
